A few weeks ago, I had a really neat opportunity come my way. I was asked to join Governor Bobby Jindal for lunch at the Governor’s Mansion. I had previously joined Governor Blanco for lunch after the two hurricanes, Katrina and Rita, devastated much of our state. She wanted to talk about the relief work that the church had done and to simply say thanks for a job well done.
Now we find ourselves with a different governor and a different day, but we still face many of the same issues. I do believe Governor Jindal has a great plan to lead Louisiana into the future. It is also very encouraging that he will give the churches of this great state an opportunity to express our concerns and desires to see Louisiana lead this nation in morals and values. Last, but certainly not least, the lunch tasted great. I’m all about good food!
